从植被指数看香港的环境及变化

摘要: 本文以归一化差值植被指数分析香港的环境及变化,运用常用的监测变化技术,能有效显示有明显变化的地方,如大规模的填海及机场工程。要分析规划区内的环境,可利用区内的植被指数均值。这数值与区内的土地覆盖及挤迫状况都有明显关系,更能反映市内外绿化的状况。

Abstract: This paper used normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI)derived from SPOT HRV multispectral data to study the environment of Hong Kong and its changes from 1987,1991,1993 to 1995. Using conven-tional change detection techniques such as image differencing or principal components analysis helped to high-light salient changes. Integrating the NDVI value at the tertiary planning unit (TPU) level with census and land cover data showed that the NDVI value was related to woodland, tall scrubland and urban land . It was also related to crowdedness as depicted from a factor analysis of census data. Tracing the changing pattern of NDVI revealed that a consistent increase in NDVI value only scattered around various districts within the city whereas a consistent decrease was shown in a large part of "New Territories "and western Hong Kong Island. This would provide valuable information for environmental planning and management.
