冰雹天气是一种严重的自然災害。它常常给工农业生产带来严重的损失,甚至直接威胁到人的生命安全。所以,千百年来劳动人民一直注意与雹災作斗争。近年来,在降雹的气候分析方面国内外都作了不少的研究:1955年吴俊民、翟裕宗两同志根据1951—1954年四年的资料对我国降雹的气候情况也作过一些分析。1957年В.М.Пастух等对苏联境内的冰雹作了详细的讨论^[1]。本文企图通过近十年来我国各气象台站的资料,对中国降雹的气候特征作进一步的较全面的气候分析。

In this paper based on the climatic data of ten years(1951-1960 ), we have analysed the occurrence of hail in China. The geographical distribution of the occurrence of hail, the seasonal variation and diurnal variation, the duration of hail, and hail size. etc. are discussed. Finally, we have discussed the relation of the hail and the thunderstorm activity in China.
