予於本报三卷二期会刊载渤海盐分之分布与其海水之运行篇,篇中就渤海内一般海水密度之分布,以研究其垂直的与平面的运行,纯为Hydrology之研究。兹篇所述乃就一九三五年六月至十月五个月小盐分,水温,及透明度逐月观测之纪绿,加以各月个别整理,藉以窥测其各月之异同)进而探讨其所以异同之原因,故为Hydrography之工作,此则与前篇所述不同之点也。

The distribut on of salinity on the surface in the Gulf of Pechili during the summer year is entirely controlled by the discharge of rivers in its surroundings, and the discharge of rivers is in turn depend upon the rainfall on the ecntirent in the same season. Among different rivers flowing in to the gulf the Yellow River exhibits the most conspicuous influence upon the distribut on of salinity on the surface water, therefore the isohalines more or less take the shape to surround the outlet of the Yellow River (ChartⅡ-Ⅵ).
