Aims & Scope:
First published in 1934, Acta Geographica Sinica is a comprehensive scholarly journal that reflects the level of geographical research in China and is recognized as a leading core journal in the field of geography. Keeping pace with the development of geographical sciences worldwide, Acta Geographica Sinica remains a publication representing the advancement of Chinese geography and has made significant contributions to geographical research and development in China. Since 2001, its impact factor has consistently ranked among the top 10 of all scientific and technological journals in China, and remains No. 1 in the discipline of geography; its citation frequency ranks among the top 50 nationally and also holds the first position in geography. In 2007, the Journal of Geographical Sciences (the English edition) was indexed by SCI, and in 2016, the Chinese edition of Acta Geographica Sinica was included in EI, marking significant progress in the journal’s internationalization.
The journal primarily publishes the latest research findings that represent the highest academic level in geography, comprehensive advances at the intersection of geography and related disciplines, cutting-edge theories in various branches of geography, and papers that are closely relevant to the national economy with significant application value. We welcome submissions from geographers both at home and abroad that demonstrate high theoretical standards, innovative research methods, and broad application prospects.
