Abstract

The term loess，used in New Zealand,is applied to any fine一textured deposit of eolian origin other than sand dunes. It has been under investigation for over one hundred years and a variety of interesting results has occurred. based on the morphologic,sedimentologic，mineralogic , chemical，and paleopedologic analyses of 12 samples from 8 cropping loesa field.
